Hyundai has just unveiled the next generation of the Santa Fe, and as tradition dictates, it is radically different from the previous model.
The Korean manufacturer knows how to be bold, and it shows once again with a completely redesigned Santa Fe for 2024. Of course, this comes with significant risks as there is no connection between the 2023 and 2024 models. However, there are also interesting advantages. Starting from a clean slate allows Hyundai to offer a Santa Fe that is closer to current trends. This is a strategy the brand has executed well, as seen with the success of the previous four generations of the model.
Impressive and Square
If your first reaction was that it resembles a Land Rover, you\'re not entirely wrong. However, this is also the case with all square-shaped SUVs. We can mention the Ford Explorer, Kia Telluride, Rivian R1S, or Ford Bronco Sport, to name a few.
What\'s important here is that Hyundai has managed to give the Santa Fe its own unique appearance, even though it is square-shaped. To achieve this, the Korean manufacturer has incorporated several signature elements, such as the new H-shaped headlights, well-defined fenders, and low rear lights. Overall, the design of the new Santa Fe is well-executed, and I must admit that I find it very appealing, as many of you probably will. This new version of the Santa Fe also suggests that the model will offer more off-road and adventurous driving elements.
Not surprisingly, the interior takes a more modern and minimalist direction with a straight and flat dashboard. Our attention is drawn to the panoramic screen that houses the instrument cluster and multimedia system, each projected on a 12.3-inch digital surface. Of course, there are still some buttons, particularly for climate controls, which is something we can appreciate here. The interior design is impeccable, and I am eager to see all the color and material combinations that the Korean manufacturer will offer with this.
For now, no details have been mentioned regarding the mechanical aspect of the model. However, we don\'t expect significant changes in this regard, but who knows, Hyundai might surprise us.
The all-new Santa Fe 2024 will be fully revealed next August, directly on the manufacturer\'s YouTube channel. I don\'t know about you, but I\'m looking forward to discovering more about this 5th generation of the Santa Fe.
